Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps Wins Box Office Weekend
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps Wins Box Office Weekend – The original “Wall Street” might be a little bit outdated in this day and age, but that hasn’t stopped its sequel from raking in the dollars at the box office. Despite the fact that the movie has not been well reviewed by critics, fans still are interesting in seeing how the story of Gordon Gekko wraps up after he leaves prison.
The movie was able to bring in more than 19 million over the course of the weekend, making it the number one movie of the week. The movie also features Shia LaBeouf, an actor who has risen to the top ranks of Hollywood after appearing in both of the “Transformers” movies, which also performed very well.

“The Town,” last weeks leader, came in third place, bringing in just a bit more than 16 million over the course of the weekend. In second place was “Legend of the Guardians,” which brought in $16.3 million.
“Easy A,” Emma Stone’s first feature film where she takes on the starring role in came in in fourth place with $11 million and “You Again” came in fifth place, bringing in $8.3 million.
“Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” ($19 million)
“Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole” ($16.3 million)
“The Town” ($16 million)
“Easy A” ($11 million)
“You Again” ($8.3 million)
It is interesting to see that “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” was able to perform so well at the box office more than 20 years since the release of the original movie. By all accounts, the sequel is not able to live up to the original, but it may very well do just as well, if not better at the box office.
