The Back-Up Plan Movie Review
The Back-Up Plan Movie Review – The Back-up Plan stars Jennifer Lopez and Alex O’Loughlin. Lopez has a sweet charisma on screen that make the movie enjoyable for those who are interested in her. The main problems faced by the characters in the movie are pregnancy and raised children. Zoe, the main character that is played by Lopez, has given up on finding a soul mate to start a family by being artificially inseminated.
The movie does seem to be a little underwritten, and seems as though there were many opportunities missed for interesting scenes by the director. For instance, toward the beginning of the movie, Lopez tries to hail a cab at the same time as a handsome man. It seems as if he may be the love interest in this story as they argue about who hailed the cab first, but in the end the scene played no role in the plot and really had nothing to do with the movie.
When she finally does meet O’Loughlin, the question becomes how does a man deal with finding out the girl that he is interested in is pregnant? While the movie is fairly lighthearted overall, it does deal with some fairly complex emotions, and not very well at that. It can’t be described as a ‘chick flick’, but certainly will not be to the liking of most men who watch it.
Lopez is a sub par actress who never seems to make a connection with the other characters in her films. By herself she is entertaining, but her interaction with love interests leaves something to be desired.

I have seen the movie twice. First time alone and maybe I wasn’t in the mood but I wasn’t as impressed as I thought I would be. Went two 2 friends last night. good audience and reactions. Alex as definiteliy lost too much weigh and I’ve watched almost everythin he’s done ov TV and movies and it must have been the lighing or something but he has looked sexier. I know it was JLo’s movie…but he didnt’ get enough credit by far. Why the heck did they think his teeth needed changed???? They almost looked false. Leave him alone,get him some rest and relation and if Hawaii Five ) isnt a go there will be many heartbroken fans out here. that show would be much mofe his style.ARE YOU LISENING CBS????? Oh, Please!! Alex O’loughlin is the best thing that as happened to TV and movies in years. I’ve been watching both for years and I sure would want to see a talented sexy actor like Alex over way out there Avatar and silly Alice in Wonderland with georgeous talnted Johnny depp playing a cartoon character from an ancient kids book where the author had to be on drugs…its already at the “cheap theatre” here in our town. You go Alex….those dimwits over at CBS had better give a big go and back up to Hawaii Five O..much better suite to you and your fans will be heartbroken if they don’t..ARE YOU LISTENING CBS????? sUZANNE ALEX’S fOREVER fAN
