After a four-year long break, it looks like James Bond is finally making his comeback.

It was recently announced that the latest Bond film would be hitting theaters on November 9, 2012, and that Daniel Craig will reprise his role as the super spy for the 23rd Bond flick.

The last Bond film to come out was called “Quantam of Solace”, and that was released nearly two years ago in 2008.

Because the movie studio that financed the Bond films, MGM, was dealing with monetary issues, the franchise had been put on hold for quite awhile. However, the company filed for bankruptcy last November, and is now trying to restructure itself. Because of this, they have decided to go ahead with the latest Bond film.

Craig has signed on to take back his role, even though he has already committed to working on the American adaptation of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” and the two sequels that follow.

Sam Mendes, who worked on “American Beauty” and “Road to Perdition”, has agreed to direct the screenplay, which was written by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and John Logan.

So far there have not been any plot details released, except that the latest film will start where the last one left off.
