Hayden Panettiere Amanda Knox Lifetime Movie – Initial reports stated that Amanda Konx’s lawyers were attempting to stop a film from being made about the convicted killer. The film was reportedly going to star the former “Heroes” star, Hayden Panettiere. Now, it appears that Knox is not trying to stop the movie from being made, and it appears that the movie will be made and will appear on Lifetime.

Apparently Knox had no idea that the film was being made, and at this time has no plans to try to stop it. Amanda Knox had been dating her Italian lover, Raffaele Sollecito, who was convicted of killing her British roommate Meredith Kercher.


Kercher’s mother is reportedly not happy that the movie is being named after Knox, when “the real story is about her daughter.” It does seem odd that the story would focus on Knox so much, and completely ignores Kercher, at least in the title.

Knox was also convicted of murdering Kercher, and was given 20 years in jail. The couple has maintained that they are innocent, and are challenging their sentences. The appeals will be heard later in the year, while the movie is currently scheduled to make its way to the Lifetime network sometime in 2011, depending on when shooting begins.
