Don Payne Joins Thor 2 That Will Be Released In 2013
Get ready for some more ‘Goldilocks’ hammer tossing tirades from everyone’s favorite Aesgardian and comic book superhero, Thor!
The monster sized box office take for this Marvel Comics character has hit half a billion worldwide which means it’s a shoe-in for a sequel that is now said to be on it’s way in 2013.
Thor won’t have its director Kenneth Branagh to helm the project which might be a good thing, but it does have Don Payne back on board to do the main writing chores.
Payne worked on other Marvel projects and superhero fare such as “Fantastic Four: Rise Of the Silver Surfer” and the Uma Thurman comedy, “My Super Ex-Girlfriend”.
Of course Chris Hemsworth will return as the hammer slinging hero and for good reason.
The Marvel Comics line of movies is now under the control of Disney.
What many people don’t know is that there are so many Marvel Comics characters that Disney won’t run out of any for at least 10,000 years.
However, Marvel fans know that the superhero movies released so far like Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, and others coalesce into what is called “The Avengers” a group of the top Marvel superheroes who were originally brought together to stop the Hulk.
The key player to The Avengers is “Captain America” and his latest film version is due out in a few weeks starring Chris Evans. This movie is needed highly to be successful for the Marvel franchise and if so, it will be the dawn of a new mega-movie conglomerate the likes of which Hollywood has never seen before.
So you can bet you’ll see Thor again, and again, and again.
