Afshan Azad Harry Potter Star Attacked by her Family – The father and brother of a 22 year old Harry Potter actress, Afshan Azad have been charged with threatening to kill her at her Manchester, England home. She has appeared in four Harry Potter movies as classmate Padma Patil. She was attacked on May 21 because her Muslim family did not approve of her relationship with a Hindu man. They reportedly threatened to kill her if she did not back out of the relationship.
Abdul Azad, 54, and his son Ashraf, 28, have been accused of threatening to kill Afshan. Her brother has also been charged with assault following the altercation at her home in May. The two appeared on a Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, and have been released on bail. They are due back in court on July 12.
The final Harry Potter movie, “Deathly Hallows” recently had its trailer leak online. The final movie will be split into two separate films so they can tell the entire story that is contained in the last book. They will be the seventh and eighth Harry Potter films. The cast has remained together throughout the filming of what has become one of the largest movie franchises of all time.
